I had the Defender LTX. I actually loved them. They were on my truck when I bought it. They were just getting down there in tread life and I wasn’t to confident with them anymore on wet or crappy roads after a few sketchy incidents. Awesome tire, and pressure rarely fluctuated with the cold, just near the end of their long life.

I looked into getting another set, but price played a role in my decision and everyone seems to love the Cooper AT3’s so I decided to give them a whirl. Drive home was nice and smooth I gotta say. Plus it always feels good getting new rubber! Ha

I've only ever got it to work with the voice commands. It will play your voice back to you when someone calls you. I can't remember how I did it and I don't have the stock head unit anymore.

    1) Bought with 225k miles on it, a Westin bullnose bumper, and OEM tundra steps 2) Current Mileage 238k Mods: 1) Dirty Deeds BA Mufflers 8 inch with resonator (as of Feb 2021) - Had the 10 inch with resonator - Prefer the 10 inch without resonator - deeper sound hear it more in the cab 2.) Ranch Hand Summit Front Bumper/Guard 3) Ranch Hand Summit Bumper 4) Billstein 5100s all around 5) TRD front and rear sway bars 6.) Rough Country wheel to wheel steps 7) Pioneer 8400 NEX Wireless ApplePlay 8) Backup Camera: e-raptor 9) LED white lights replaced in headlights, fog lights, inside cabin, and exterior lights 10) Linex (unbranded by Central Texas Truck Coatings) 11) OEM Toyota side panels and generic panel on tailgate Maintenance/Repairs: 1) Valve covers, belt tensioner, alternator belt - $415 2) Evaporation fuel canister and filter replacment $1547 *This was a Toyota TSB for 07-08 AFAIK. Toyota covered in first 3 years of ownership. Mine failed after 13 years of daily regular driving use. Not bad at all. 3) Pioneer Unit - had to ship to Pioneer to replace Output IC - $45 (shipping) free under 1 year warranty fix 4) Pioneer Unit - Electrical feed back coming through speakers when accelerating. Fix was to check all wiring/tighten up/ make connections good again $42. 5.) Rear passenger door actuator replaced. Part was $287 with tax on ebay from Toyota dealer free shipping. 6.) Rack and Pinion, tow mirrors, shocks install, lifetime alignment - $1884.36
My shop finished adding billstein 5100s all around with 1.5 in the front, new rack and pinion, and oem toyota tow mirrors I bought from a local Tundra enthusiast. I decided to not do a true leveling kit in front after the shop said even with upper control arms added a lot of strain can go on the rack and pinion and could blow it out.

We were gonna swap the dirty deeds 10 inch with res out for the 8 inch with res, but I was sent the 2010+ model which isn’t the right fitment for my 08 Tundra. Keith called me back late last night, apologized, and is sending the adapter to bolt onto the 2010 exhaust. Said they will make it this morning and should get in a few days.

I ran back up to the shop and had them fabricate a blockoff plate to try with the 10. Surprised me enough that I liked the 10 inch system more without the resonator. I can hear the deeper tones more clearly while in the cab and "hear" it more with windows up. Once the adapter comes for the 8inch system, I will leave the resonator off because my gut tells me I'm gonna like that louder deeper sound than with the resonator! Keeping the resonator in case the new HOA issues a complaint :D

Wasn't just today. More like recently......I took out the nasty Husky liner floor mats and installed new front and back row Weathertech mats. Found an OEM under seat storage bin and installed it. Swapped in LED interior lighting, cargo, back up and plate lighting. Installed Cover King neoprene seat covers. On deck are: Blackvue front and rear dashcams and hardwire kit. Bakflip tonneau cover. Lighted cup holder discs. Seat heaters. Rotopax Fuel storage. All in some stage of shipping.

Loving the tss rims i picked up from facebook marketplace. Rims were $250, black lugs were $60 at discount tire (factory lugs wouldn’t fit from old rims), and dismount / mount was $120. Already had the warranty for balancing. Almost got a completely modern lookin truck next is some new tires, trd sequoia grill swap, and sequoia or morimoto headlamps.

He had em for $450 down from $600.. offered $200, waited all day, and he said $250. Done buddy! Everyone seems to want the trd pro rims around here can’t find those at all.

kid you not there was a cali buyer in a fb tundra group looking for a 1st gen tundra here in central austin. Said she gave up finding a first gen under $10-12kish in cali. Everything is marked up out there in commie california.

Have the Grade trim...anyone know how to stop the doors from unlocking when putting the shifter in Park? :help:

Just replaced the passenger door lock actuator on my 2013 Tundra. Not too tough or time consuming and the part off Amazon was pretty inexpensive. Just done with the door locks popping open when I’m in the drive thru and I toss it in park.

Added a pop a lock to the tailgate too. Pretty simple. Newer kit is better than before. Highly recommend this mod if you haven’t already done it. Running the wiring is the most time consuming part.

Got my 35” spare up under the truck where the oem spare was.

took a minute to work the rivets with a grinder(best tool I had) but all worth it. Tire is aired way down, I’m not sure if I saved room like that but I feel like I did.
