Is anyone running this setup? Victory 4x4 half rack with a Tuff Stuff® TRAILHEAD™ Roof Top Tent, 2 Person. I'm trying to get started on planning what I would need for a RTT setup that also works with a tonneau cover. I'm not set on the tent yet, but it's on sale for cheaper than most and has higher weight capacity. I'll be traveling quite a bit this year to multiple state/national parks and want to get something a little bit better than a cheap 2 person ground tent. I'm extremely new to the idea of RTT so looking for a little guidance on the best route. TIA

I believe RCI makes a bedrack that works with a tonneau cover. Also, unless dead set for a rack, I think some cross bars are compatible with tonneau covers as well.

Good luck. I went with a datin metal fab bedrack for my setup, but I don't have a tonneau cover to plan around.

I've looked at cross bars also, but didn't want something that low that might interfere with rolling up the cover, plus the extra height of the rack would allow me to put some taller items in the bed.

Totally makes sense. If it was me, I'd do a quick Google search for bed racks and then call the companies to see if they are compatible with a tonneau. Hopefully others will chime in soon. Also check out build threads or the over landers thread on here. Maybe you'll find someone with similar setup to your needs.

RCI and KB Voodoo make adapters to fit their racks with a soft roll-up or retractable tonneau cover.
They're offset brackets that allow the tonneau cover to fit underneath the rack.
You might lose some of the watertight integrity of the cover, but better than nothing.
