Hey all you aftermarket headlight guys. I am trying to choose between 2 housings for my 2010 tundra. From the information i gathered both are Alpha Rex. One is the Pro with a projector, the other is nearly identical but it is a reflector.

The Pro has a halogen H-7 low beam, which i would swap for an led S-v4 H-7 if i were to buy that.
The reflector has sealed 6000k Leds for high and low.

I have not seen any videos or reviews on the reflector style and Alpha Rex does not list it on their site.
I currently run stock housings with s-v4 H-11 and cougar motor sports 9005 high beam and the light output is perfect in the stock housing.

Give me some input guys... I do not want the Nova or Morimoto XB's I have $500 bucks to spend and that's all.

Go with the Pros, a lot if members are running them. If it won't for my insurance paying for my Nova's I would have went with the Pro's.

I spoke with headlight revolution about the pro's has anyone heard about the moisture concerns in their housings ? I do like the idea that i can change out a low beam if one fails. Not sure what the quality of the sealed bulbs are or how long they will last. I know the factory Leds are lifetime bulbs unless in an accident.

For my wife’s Sequoia we have standard ALPHAREX headlights with Hikari LED’s in them. We love them. I also did the amber DRL delete,it only comes on when the actual headlights are turned on.

We used a coupon during a sale and paid about $250 shipped directly from Alpharex website

    No moisture issues or concerns

How are the sealed high beams compared to your Hikari low beams ? I paid over $150 for my Sv4 low beams and $40 bucks for the cougar motorsports. The cougar are just as bright for more than half the price. Im just curious as to how the supplied sealed leds compare.

Beam patterns look good ??? My current setup with reflector stock housing lights up everything and i dont get flashed.

Just as a personal preference, I prefer the look of projectors over reflectors.

I would agree with that, but i can say that i prefer to see the road if they are of a poor design. My wifes Acura has Xenon projectors and the stock tundra halogen are better than the hid on the acura. I hate driving that car.

The Hikari LED Bulbs fit right into my Arex housing without any modifications. The cap screws on with no issues, and no trimming necessary.

The lighting “color” matches the stock sealed LED color perfectly. Beam alignment and patterns have no issues.

We are pleased, and didn’t spend $1k on headlights

After many phone calls.... Here are the answers i received. Alpha Rex Pro models do not have Sequential turn signal. They claim they are looking at adding it but will not give a time frame. There is on the market a copy of the TRD LED for 2nd gens that are a reflector style that has sealed 6000k leds with a life span of 3-5 years and a 1 year warranty for $450 + bucks. Many of the sites are changing their adds to reflect these do not have sequential turn only a startup sequence.
At any rate i am a bit disappointed that they want me to pay over $400 bucks every 3-5 years if your lucky for headlights. Go back to the Freakin bulbs and let me change the bulbs.
