I don’t have that info., Roman, a few weeks back, announced an OEM Toyota version of the pop-n-lock. There’s really no difference between them, it’s an actuator tied into your lock/unlock wires, simple stuff. I just purchased the actuator for $17 and did the DIY pop-n-lock myself. Of course the dealer one is going to be more expensive, for no good reason, tho if it’s plug and play, that may be worth the extra $80, especially if you’re not confident splicing into wires. Pop n lock for tundra is around $100, OEM will be more...

Any canucks have any luck finding this lock harness shipping to Canada? Emailed over a dozen dealers in the US and none seem to ship here:(

It’s a Toyota factory part, part number 00016-34089. It costs about $70. Mine was a port installed option, not dealer installed.

^^Thanks for the tip, I tried to order the hood bulge and grille there once but it was a no go. Maybe because of their size?

Really?! I almost bought pro grill from there no problem, but I realized it was cheaper to buy from local dealer.

Installed mine yesterday. It took me about 2 hours because I took my time and read the instructions to the T. Functional check SAT.

I installed this yesterday on my 2020 crewmax and it was super easy. Took me about an hour and a half as I was just taking my time. This factory one requires no splicing or cutting of anything. My only comment would be that the instructions tell you to remove one of the heat shields during install and for my truck, that wasn’t necessary at all.

As a new 2021 platinum owner coming from a Ford F-150 as much as I love my new tundra I have to ask Toyota WTF are you thinking? No power tailgate lock, accent interior lighting, no wireless charging....all I can say why? The platinum should have all the options especially the plug and play ones! JMO

I totally agree (and have a platinum) which I have added all of those items (and them some) too.

I installed the OEM kit on my Tacoma. Not relevant here, except for the fact that I did it using the Tundra instructions. I did not realize this until about 1/2 way through the install. I was running the wire down the side of the truck, thinking to myself “these instructions don’t match what I am seeing AT ALL!”. :anonymous:

Funny thing is that my 2017 Tacoma TRD 4x4 had power tailgate lock, wireless charging as well as keyless entry/start and a better Infotainment system than my Tundra. My wife's 2018 Sequoia Platinum has none of those things. That's been Toyota's Achilles for years. They have great looking, reliable vehicles, but they always seem to be 2 steps behind on technology.

I have a 2012 BMW 328i also and it has the "tech package" with navigation, HUD, bluetooth phone, but not bluetooth audio (so annoying). Apparently that was a software upgrade that had to be purchased as part of another convenience package...wtf? I have never understood packages with automakers.
