Hello, I tried installing a Compustar 4900s remote start / keyless entry on my 2001 Tundra Access Cab today, but ran into some trouble with the wiring.

I found this helpful thread, which I was using to follow along, until I got to the power lock and unlock part.

The wiring diagrams I continue to find (Diagram 1, Diagram 2, Diagram 3) say that the Power Lock has a White/Green cable and the Power Unlock has a Red/Yellow cable. However, when I went to find those cables in my truck, they're not there... Even found this picture while searching, but my 12 pin connector does not have the same colored wires .

Has anybody ran into this issue before?

I've attached a couple of images of what my 12 pin connector looks like. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

The color of wires in vehicles can change from standard if say the assembly runs out of a particular color during production. They do not stop making harnesses or vehicles, they simply use another color wire. Would the pin positions not be the same? The picture you found shows which pin positions should be the correct ones. Test those wires to see if they are correct. The Blue/black appears to be in the red/yellow unlock position. The green / red appears to be in the white / green lock position.

That is a possibility and that’s what I was thinking as well. Ran out of daylight yesterday, and so, did not get onto testing the wires... figured I’d ask on here in case anybody had ran into a similar scenario. Thanks for your input!

For anybody else that may want to install an alarm/remote start/keyless entry in their truck in the future... I ended up finding the power lock and unlock cables in the Gray 9 Pin Plug, right above the white 12 pin plug. The cables are in fact red/yellow and white/green.

Glad you found the appropriate harness and got the keyless working!

Great find. I've bookmarked this thread for my keyless install this spring.

    Thanks
