Hey guys, so which shocks offer a SOFTER ride? - the TRD off road yellow/blue or the Sport red/blue?

Bilstein claims that the HD Yellow & Blue are the smoothest riding shocks they make for these trucks.

Sport usually means cornering and speed which needs tighter suspension. So agreed off road ones would be softer.

I switched to 6112/5160, 17" wheels and larger E load rated tires. Ride is firm- I conducted chalk test several times and have adjusted tire pressure- surprised at the difference a few PSI makes - ride is sweet!

Sport ones are tuned for cornering (as much as reasonable in a big ol' truck) so they are going to be stiffer to stay planted. The OR are designed to soak up bumps off the pavement. My truck has them stock, and I wouldn't say they are the smoothest thing ever, but they do a good job.

Another thing that will soften your ride is your tire type and wheel size. 18" wheels will have more cushion than 20" because of the additional sidewall. A passenger or street tire is generally going to ride softer than your AT or other more aggressive tires.
