Had a fight with a big log, log won. Now fixing everything with uniball uca's, toytec 2.5 Ultima lift kit and I cannot get the uca bolt out that took the most of the blow from the log. It's tweaked. I cut the end of the bolt off but I still can't get it to budge. Any ideas?

Torch would be the likely solution here.

I m no mechanic, but I m thinking the coilover is keeping it tight. Maybe you could block up that corner of truck, and compress it somehow?

Damn. Impressive. is the bolt bent or is it just the arm and bushings?

If you are replacing the UCA anyway I would just cut thru the UCA where the bolt goes through. Maybe like a 4” grinder with an abrasive blade. That rubber bushing is going to suck. Might be easiest to cut the arm off the part where the bushing mounts so you can get a better angle.

    Just an idea.

I've already cut most of the uca out. The bolt just won't budge. I can't get it to move an inch. We're out of oxy acet also but I'm not sure what I can safely cut out.
What about welding up a right angle punch? 2 or 3 inches long and if it works and I make progress, add a few more inches to it as I go? Space is a factor obviously.

    Here's the other side btw

The bolt won't turn or budge at all currently? Is that a broken sensor wire as well? Can you get a pry bar under the head or behind the washer?

No it won't turn and that's putting every tool in this shop we have at our disposal.
    Pry bar not working either.

The bolt is insanely hard too. Like some sort of Japanese mithril or something. One idea is just cutting the center tube out in the coil pocket but I just don't think I have a way to get a straight cut in each side so I'm able to weld the tube back in with the new bolt for alignment.

I wonder if you can weld a rod into the UCA arm to extend it and pound it out with a BFH?

I know it’s tight you can’t fit a bolt in the other side and tap and then use bigger bolt and bigger. Or try to pry in between the part of the UCA that’s still there?

Simple. LSK long travel race kit 'cause it gets rid of the OEM shock tower.
Honestly, looking at the pics and skimming what you wrote about a 90* drift to bang it out, another thought (unlikely to work IMO) is a pneumatic chipper with a modified bit to try and pound it out. I'd want to leave that bolt head and have someone trying to turn while banging on the other end. If you get the last bit of UCA cut out you may be able to try and bang the bolt back to straight enough to remove?

Waiting on my buddy to get here. Gonna try something along the lines of that.

Rear done and left side done. Might need bigger tires. Nice looking lift..

Warren’s was bent good but came out and went back in easy. Maybe soak it down with pb blaster or something and try a pickle fork/wedge/pry tool between uca and bolt head to get it moving.
