Bought my 02 limited Access cab 4x4 217k late summer before I discovered the sight unfortunately.
Been reading and learning for a few months now anyway since then I’ve added 5100s to the front, 4 new Toyo at2s, all fluids, TB, WP, tensioners, serpentine. I knew my valve covers were leaky but they’ve gotten worse lately so it’s time to tackle that job.
I’m hoping it’s not cam or crankshaft seals since I just had the TB done.:fingerscrossed:

VC Seals is a pretty easy job on our trucks. Solid day if you take your time. Under $300 in OEM Parts (Seals/Donuts, Toy 103 FIPG, Bolts with Washers, PCV). Post up some pics.

Not sure how to add pics yet.
    You guys obviously prefer OEM
I can grab the Felpro kit from Autozone has the sparkplug gaskets and washers for $60.
    Or should I go oem?

Looks like the valve covers weeping. Torqueing them back to factory speck may stop the leaking. Dern aluminum heads just won't hold a bolt like an iron head. Have to periodically retorque. If they still weep, head gaskets. Factory, or factory equivalent design. If you don't have a seal puller, grab one while you're getting parts. Makes the spark plug tube job go so much easier. Good time to powder coat those valve covers like @bmf4069

Got all the OEM parts ordered this morning
    2 valve cover gaskets
    18 grommets for bolts
    8 spark plug gaskets
    PCV valve w/gromet
    1 tube FIPG
$135 shipped to my local dealer
Roughly double the price of the felpro kit from Autozone
Felpro kit price doesn’t include sealant or PCV valve so it’s actually not even double

Good to hear, we're rooting for you. Spending the money for OEM might hurt initially, but the pain and problems that can potentially arise from shoddy aftermarket parts can be much worse.
