Texas here 01 Tundra sr5 with 3" suspension lift 33×12.50× 18. 175,000 and tranny made a loud pop as i was backing up over a curb. Now it has no forward or reverse. Any recommendations? Ot will a tranny out of Sequoia work? Or does anyone know a website that i can search salveage yards for a tranny?

Check the build link in my signature.
Welcome from the wet side of WA.

https://www.car-part.com/ will give you access to search for used parts from any salvage yard that is part of that network (which is a LOT). From there, you can filter down by "interchange" years/models and by distance, and other details.

don't know if you can but if you have a bad trans check and see how hard it would be to instal the 5 speed AT in your truck
    I think they were 05 -06 and I know there in the 2007 4.7l

Where is the truck now? Is it still setting where you heard the loud pop?

Before you buy a transmission, you may want to do some basic diagnosis.

I'd be surprised if the transmission just randomly blew itself up going over a curb. I'd bet your driveshaft, axle shaft, tcase, etc. had an issue. Have you crawled under it and seen if there's something obvious and tried to drive in 4wd?

Exactly what I thought. Transmissions fail, but rarely from applied load.

So i checked out the driveshaft and it seems to be good. I can put the truck in gear and seems like it wants to move but there is a wining sound but when i put it in park it grinds like the truck is moving and you put it park while moving also there is some fluid at the tail piece where it connects to the dtive shaft. Any ideas?

With the fluid leakage at the tail shaft, it sounds like your transmission output shaft yoke may have broken at the end of the output shaft. Leakage says there's unusual shaft movement inside the seal that's causing the leak. The noise you're hearing may be from the output shaft end turning against the yoke.

I would drop the driveshaft and remove the output yoke for inspection.

Mark the u-joint companion flanges so the driveshaft can be reinstalled in the same position to maintain balance. Plan on replacing the tail shaft seal if the transmission is OK.

The pump itself may have also cratered. When all gears are gone and you can still roll it with nothing binding or grinding in neutral. I say either output shaft or failed pump.

If your going to keep the truck, imo, rebuild tranny, no salvaged who knows what. I always go with if you can't afford it once, how will you afford it twice? Logic.
