When you install header in driver side, do you have to remove front driveshaft to have a more space ?
I really removed oem headers but still think arh header it very hard to put it up.

That is such a bummer! I hope they fix it for you quickly.

If I remember correctly, I did have to disconnect the flange at the front side driveshaft just to get some extra clearance while spinning the headers into place. The ARH headers were a very tight fit but I didn't have to disconnect much more than that.

@InTheRough do you have any sound clips with the 24" muffler?

Building the skids for my friend got me inspired so I removed the front bumper of my truck today in an effort to build a hybrid winch bumper. I recently picked up a Warn VR EVO 12S to place in there.
Once I finish the front bumper design, I'll make some stock replacement skids.

Unfortunately I've been playing with other things and haven't gotten the audio for thr 24" muffler. I'll try to get it in the next few weeks since I'll be installing the Magnuson supercharger as soon as its available.

Successful front day but there are plenty of things that I'd like to change.
The top doesn't go far enough back to hide behind the grill and the clavis mounting holes need to be enlarged more to make up for the bend. I also need to make the bends a little closer to the mark in general.
I plan to move the Hi Lift locations up to the bend line.
    20210123_184917.jpg
    20210123_184931.jpg

I was able to replicate the OEM bumper mounts for the forward mounts but the main bumper does mount to the tow hook location.

Eventually I'd like it to be something like this Taco:

Thanks! I'm no pro but I try my best. I'm lucky to have the tools that I have.
I am hoping to be working on this tomorrow but I also need to wire in a 20a 250v receptacle into my garage for a CNC router table.

You're very talented. Really nice shop space too. Nice build, excited to see what else you do with it.

I've been so busy lately I haven't been able to update the thread.

I blacked out my tail lights with Vvivid matte black tint:
    20210202_162252.jpg

I got my UpTop overland canopy rack which has been assembled and installed:
    20210204_113405.jpg
    20210204_183625.jpg
    20210205_090323.jpg

I'm almost done with the front bumper design then I'll need to coat it. I just ordered U-Pol Raptor bedliner. I've never used it but it has good reviews. My hope is that I can thin it out a bit to make it more of a smooth finish:
    20210204_141325.jpg

Besides that I got a Hi-Lift XT-485 jack and removed my tailgate in preparation of adding matte black wrap.

Thank you! I'll be excited when I can build a sizable shop but that's out of our budget at the moment so I use the space I can.

I obviously haven't put it to heavy use yet but I am quite happy with the finish.
This is 3:1:1 if U-Pol Raptor black and Restoration Shop medium urethane reducer shot through a Harbor Freight HVLP.

Front bumper looks great! Really well thought out, the details make or break a project and you nailed it!

Regarding the slider mounts: I've heard (or think I have) that the frame rails taper toward the back. Did you notice/account for this, or are the plates flat?

Any more pics of that skid you made for the Pro Comp lift? Any interest is making another? I can't find one anywhere that isn't purely cosmetic.

Thanks man! As I've stated before, I'm still new to this. The acknowledgements definitely help my confidence.

I can get back to you later today on the exact measurement but there is about 42" of straight before the frame starts to taper just behind the cab.

Sure, I make everything by hand by myself so I'm asking $800 for an unfinished set. The rear skid sits just behind the transfer case. I do have two local people interested in a set but no payment yet.
I've never shipped anything this large or heavy but I've heard Greyhound is relatively cheap if you have a station local to you.

Man, those are what I'm looking for, this would work for a Pro Comp 6" drop bracket lift correct? I'd have to figure out the Greyhound thing, shipping would be tremendous. Nice work.

For some reason I thought I had responded to this a long time ago. I would have to verify that there aren't any other ProComp versions but, yes, as far as I know this is for a 6" drop bracket.
I just built another front skid for a local member. I'm confident in the design but my bending tools are too primitive to feel confident about getting each bend absolute.
Eventually I plan on building a profile jig so I can measure without having to have a customers vehicle here.

I haven't touched the truck in a while so I decided to start working on a rear bumper tomorrow. My focus will be increasing the departure angle and future incorporation of swing outs. I'd love to do a full high clearance but don't want to cut the bedside.

Actually I have this and a few other pictures saved for inspiration. I still don't have a firm design but I am hoping to make it match the front. I'm researching the suggested metal type & thickness for the crossbeam holding the receiver.

I got a little bit done on the bumper design today but wasn't thinking and cut the hole too wide. Its fine though, I'll use that mistake to make the receiver more secure with more metal.
It will be a hybrid style bumper with tube sides.

Are those pentagon shapes hi-lift points?
Looks great, I'm really excited to see how this turns out!

You are correct. Those are hi-lift points. And the rectangular holes are for clavis shackles mounts; both are incorporated into the front bumper as well.
I will have to remake that piece with adjustments because I want to make the bumper capable of swing outs and I will need a location for the latch.

I was working on the rear bumper this week but my plasma table stopped working. While that is down for repairs I played around with silicone molding to make some Epoxy center console badges.
I'm not supercharged yet so I thought I'd make one of each; for the time being & for the future. This is right out of the mold, no clean up.

We tried out something new this weekend. We rented a 25' travel trailer and made our way to Soap Lake, WA. Only about 4 hours from home but we were first timers so we just wanted to see how we liked it.
It was fun and we've already booked another vacation. We'll keep renting this year but may buy one before next summer.
