After a recent software update my Toyota-Alexia app stopped working. I had 2 different section for apps. There was Communication and Infotainment. The Toyota-Alexia app was in Infotainment. This has been going on since the update but, When you opened the Infotainment app and you saw the Toyota-Alexia app was Black/White and the wheel was going around like it was updating. Then, it would stop and a message would pop up on screen to instruct me to make sure that Bluetooth was connected to vehicle. Which it was. Finally last week I called Toyota Customer Service. The person I spoke with walked me through some steps that she thought might correct the issue. She had me delete my personal data from vehicle. Remove Toyota-Alexia app from my iPhone. The re-install it back on my Tundra. Then, she had me reload my data on truck. That didn’t work. So, She said I needed to make appointment at my Toyota dealership. They needed to do a 30 minute battery disconnect. Which should force an update back onto my truck. If this all doesn’t work they will have to open up a TIS complaint / repair order. Probably needs a new software update or head unit. I know I probably don’t really need it but, I was enjoying using the app.

I took it into the dealership today. They did the 30 minute battery disconnect, but it didn’t solve anything. I will call Monday morning before I go to work. By the way thanks for providing the pictures. Now I’ve got some proof.

No problem. Please do keep the rest of us posted on this. I'm a little annoyed that this has never worked for me, but not enough to make a special trip to the dealership

I'm not sure if this pertains to your problem or not but Toyota got rid of the old entune app and now there's just one "Toyota" app that I had to download instead.

I’m sure I’ve got the same Toyota app as you do ! The problem still exists where I cannot access the Toyota-Alexia app. Something happened on the last Toyota update !

If it was the update, the dealer probably won’t be able to do anything. Make sure they raise the issue so the Toyota computer guys add it back if it was accidentally removed.

Okay, Called Toyota this morning. Got a TIS Case number. The Toyota Associate said that to give him a few days and he would call me back to let me know where we stand on this issue. I have another appointment this Saturday at another Toyota dealership and the Toyota Associate said he would get this figured out to where I don’t need to go to that second appointment. Will keep you all posted.

Called Toyota Customer Service again this morning because I never heard back from the Toyota Associate that said he’d call me back in a few days. In fact when I spoke with the Toyota Associate this morning she told me the case was closed for some reason. Well, I said do you want to run me through the steps again to see if we can get the Toyota Alexia app back up and running. Sure, We deleted my Personal data from the truck, reinstalled the Update and the Toyota -Alexia app is back on my screen. So, I would suggest you call the Toyota 1-800-331-4331 number and hopefully you get to talk to Katy. She was the Toyota Associate I spoke with to solve the issue. Good Luck !
