What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Yeah I have a cheap Auto Geek foam cannon. I’m using Chemical Guys Mr. Pink. Love how frothy the foam is and the smell!

 

Snagged some RW wheels, mounted some Cooper AT3 XLT’s, and refinished the ring and painted them a shadow metallic. Figured something a little different from the usual black ring. It’s growing on me.

 

I installed my Charvonia's too - must a been the day to do it. I had them for months but stripped the bolts. I'm an idiot. I stripped the first one so I went to the second. Stripped the second, swore, and went to the third. Stripped the third, swore a little louder, and stripped the fourth. I've been pouting for a few months until today and I went at them with some vise grips. I should have used the vise grips in the first place.

 

Rock Warrior wheels look sooo good on all model years! But even better on Black!

 

Thanks! Yeah, I was a little weary about painting the rings that color, but we’ll see. May just get them PC’d gloss black after all.

Dude same thing happened to me and I snapped one bolt but got replacement screws from the seller. Very nice guy. I used a 1/4 to 3/8 adapter and a extension on the ratchet for a better installation using the smaller ratchet gave me problems.

 

Finally replaced the factory knobs and rings.

 

Just installed Toytec 1/2" front bumper shims and no I didn't take the grill nor the bumper off for the install. And the bumper came out straighter than your Wang (no more rub at full lock).

 

@butch2427 I saw these on Amazon and was thinking about getting it. So the install was easy? Let me know how this works out for you.

 

Yeah, the seller is great. Those factory bolts were just weird. They stripped immediately and I tried to do the screw extractor thing on them and it just stripped them more. I had looked back at the thread a few weeks ago and saw that somebody had asked what to do if the factory bolts strip - somebody said to use Vice Grips. Glad I saw them. As a bonus, I have a brand new set of Vise Grips. It was just a win all the way around.

 

FINALLY finished up my front camera!
Also got my screen protector on my head unit screen, installed my AJT vent trim rings, and dropped off my tomahawk shifter to get cerakoted. Details on the rest of the camera install will go up in my build thread a bit later...I need to get some work stuff done and have a beer.

Those cap screws are "black chrome" and I'm just using them while I wait for some proper black oxide finished STAINLESS cap screws to arrive.

 

Any words of wisdom so i can achieve these exact results?

 

You should start with Kegel exercises...

 

Remove the 2 side screws from the liner so you can move the bumper out 1/2" freely. There is a youtube video on how to install without removing the bumper.

 

Im gonna need a lot more than that big boy..but it’s a start.

 

The torq bolt I had to use a flathead screwdriver and hammer to notch a flat spot and unscrew it that way. The oem tie down screws were never my favorite but a new vise grip is a plus

 

Two hours and a few choice words in to my lift install and I still couldn't get the lug nuts off. So I gave up and now have a stripped lug I'll have to go to a tire shop to have them get off. Oh, I'll need to order a couple new lugs too.
