I bumped a curb and put some pretty nasty gashes in one of my 20” alloy wheels. I got a quote of $175.00 to buff/polish it out. Has anyone experienced that and if so where you happy? Or should I bite the bullet and replace the wheel since I spend an inordinate amount of time in the “Detailing” forum.

Fuel delete mod Cup holder upgrade
Depends on how bad the gashes are but it never looks like original especially to a trained eye.

The stock 20inch wheels often show up for sale because people install aftermarket or the stock 18s. You might be able to find one for sale at a good deal. I would probably try and replace it and used the gashed wheel for the spare.
