Where's a good place to get the TRD rear sway bar? I can probably get the wife to pay for it being that it is "to improve my ridiculously blue truck's bumpy ass ride" as she would put it.

Its only got 6k miles on it I'm going to have to go look at the door sticker is it really 30/33 on these trucks on stock LTX AT2s? And why not 33/30 if the bed is empty all the weight is in the nose. I might be able to just drop down the 38 psi my tires have been at since new and throw 300 pounds in the bed like someone else mentioned and have it ride noticeably different. Now we are talkin!

Just do one thing at a time so you can have a measured difference.

Have you tried just adding a couple hundred pounds to the bed?

Lots of discussion on the RSB topic on the other thread. For me, the best deal with free shipping was:
    https://toyotaonlineparts.mcgeorgetoyota.com/
All the parts look a bit intimidating, but the installation was very easy. Just be sure to work on a level floor and use a torque wrench to final tighten.

    drop pressure to 30/33 max.

    test drive a Pro.

if it really won't work then consider the sequoia. ours ride better than a suburban. the mag ride got very bad reviews when i read up on it.

I have a 2016 1794 CM. I just finished installing the Fox TRD Pro suspension, along with 18" TRD wheels, and 295/70/18 Cooper Discoverer AT3 XL tires. I did all this work in steps and can say the biggest ride improvement came from the TRD Pro front shock install; although the other stuff made incremental improvement as well.

In all honesty OP I am a little shocked that your wife finds it so uncomfortable. I am around NYC, AKA the land of ungodly roads, a lot and my wife finds my Tundra to be the most comfortable and non nauseating vehicle we own. She gets bad motion sickness as well... She hated my stock 5th gen 4Runner because of the sway. And we have to bring the Tundra everywhere. She has a 2016 Highlander XLE with super low miles but the Tundra just rides soooo much better.

OP my next statement isn’t a critique of your driving in anyway way but that maybe the culprit here...

I had to greatly change the way I drive to make her comfortable. I keep the rpms as consistent as possible, I don’t switch lanes as much, and drive in a way that requires me to use the brake pedal as little as possible. Not fun I know but has been extremely helpful on trips.

**and for reference I keep my PSI at 34 at all 4 corners**

Just to echo what others have posted, as I had ride complaints about my Platinum at first. Turned out the tire shop installed my new Cooper AT3 XLT’s at a ridiculously high pressure. Simple lowering of tire pressure made a big difference.

Do the simple small things first (in steps):
    - Tire pressure drop,
    - Weight in bed (also play with position of weight),
    - Rear sway bar (if body roll is part of wife’s complaint)
    - Take for test drive in TRD Pro, if she likes it better then you can buy the shocks for a little over $3k.

Agree, but if you get to the TRD Pro shocks, just start with the fronts first. It might be good enough and you save $1,200 bucks by not doing the rears!

Strap your wife to the roof with a pair of welding goggles...... or if you think you'll get pulled over make her ride in the bed of the truck for a few weeks. By the time she gets to ride in the cab again she'll love the way it rides. Or buy a busted ass old Cady boat with blown shocks and she'll feel like a princes riding on clouds everywhere you go.:thumbsup::bananadance::bananadance::bananadance::bikewhoops::bikewhoops::bikewhoops::bikewhoops::ohsnap::ohsnap::taco::taco::taco::woot::woot::woot::woot::101010::101010::101010:

Dude MY WIFE SAYS THE SAME THING!. I swear its the rear Bilsteins for me personally I would think that with nothing being in the bed of the truck would be the first issue. Weight does help.. I always felt its the rear more than the front, I could be wrong.... I just got my lift put on and upgraded my rear shocks to the FOX shocks and have noticed that the bounciness went from 8 bounces over a bump to one thud.. I prefer the thud over the trampoline feel..

No doubt . . . the LAST thing I'd do is put some 'dead weight' in the bed of my truck to make my wife happy with the way my truck drives!

    This ^^^^

Sometimes dealerships over inflate tires in anticipation the vehicle might sit for awhile. I would air down and go buy 5 or 6 bags of quick-crete 80lbs. Wrap them in black plastic bags and stick them between the wheel wells. Should ride smoother. If it doesnt your are out about $30-$40 and then you can look at softer suspensions.

I carry on average 300-500lbs in the truck bed at all times to help smooth out the ride. Especially with load range E tires.

Hahahahah I have a cap, two dogs and tools with me all the time. I average 15.3mpg which I think is good for a truck. I had a 2015 silverado that averaged 17.2 with regular tires so I am right in the ball park

Don’t have your wife pay for the sway bar. She is so sensitive to the ride now is doubt it will make a difference to her.

lower the tire pressure and if it eats up the tires too soon and drops mpg oh well

I have nothing to offer except LOL at people not in ME or Mew England complaining about their ride. Y’all have some great roads, can your rides really be that bad? Never take trips up this way or there will be threads about square tires. Good luck!

But...Wonder if a RSB can help with bed bounce from poor shocks? In theory it seems so: Frame's connected to axle by the art. arms which would seem to dampen the motion.

Maybe, but I don’t think so. The bed bounce is caused by the frame flexing independently of the leaf springs which can’t be quickly fixed.

OP what does she hate? Bumpy streets or highway speeds?
