    NAME THIS PART:

Hint 1: 2009 Tundra Dual Cab SRT.
    Hint 2: Steering Column

I was doing some work on the tilt/tele steering lock lever (it kept slipping and became free-flowing while driving) . i.e. tightening this bolt:

    fixed the slippage perfectly.

Then this piece of a part, fell onto the floorboard:

It fell from further back nearing the pedals or the column linkage. I could not find the source.

If you know what it is please, don't be shy.

    Thanks fellas.

    Time's up.

    I found the source:

on the inside of the this plastic casing:

Given I only gave half a turn on the 10mm it had to have bee pre-cracked before it popped out of there (given the slippage).

The lever still holds true with half the gear in there, for now. Now that I know the part, gotta find the part.
