This is sitting in the living room of my townhouse and I need some good suggestions since my girlfriend and visiting family say it’s an eyesore and I don’t disagree but hey, I live alone at the moment and I like easy access. :D

Don’t worry, my place is fully insured in case it goes boom and I have a fire extinguisher on standby.

Well, that's a bit much even for me. How about a couple or three plastic totes that have lids. They stack well and keeps things sort of tidy. Maybe then they could push in a closet. Your G/F will thank me I think.

Jack, I once had suspension parts and oil in my ottoman, an intake and a few other things under my bathroom sink, trans fluid and diff fluid under my kitchen sink, and two boxes of tools in the pantry. I was single back then and heard a few ladies surprised when they noticed.

About the only thing you could do is get an enclosed closet set up or throw a sheet over the shelves.

    Lol, now that’s bad!

I’d really like to get one of these legal/medical fold down cover file cabinets but they’re pricey even used and hard to find on Craigslist. My tools take up my spare closets and I keep those hidden.

That’s my backup in case I can’t find something that will fit in with the furniture.

Get a file cabinet or two, lots of drawer storage...contents protected by metal...drawers will lock...not hard to move...and you can throw a cover over them to disguise them if necessary. Also very handy for storing your important papers...not the zigzag kind.

Get some collapsible crates that are stackable. I got 6 of them from Costco for about $5 each and they are pretty worth while. I keep one crate for each individual use. One for cleaning my truck, another for maintenance, another for small maintenance and another for sticking up the essentials in my truck like bullets, paper towels, gum, personal hygiene and tons of stuff. Gets things nice and tidy up.

When I lived in an apartment and had an obsession with going to pick-n-pull I had crap laying everywhere.

Hindsight, I would have gotten some of these and store in a corner somewhere. Obviously they are limited in weight capacity inside the tote and especially when stacked on the lids, so you might have to build or buy some shelves for them. You can whip up some strong shelves with 2x4s and plywood in a few hours. You could probably build a raised bedframe to slide a bunch of totes underneath.

As I type this there is a pile of parts in my livingroom and a set of 35s stacked in the bedroom. The shed is full already. I'm kinda liking the smell of fresh rubber in the house.:homer:

This one has the most Fung Shway. Keeps the Japanese Theme rolling, as well.

New girlfriend and family...lol...any other rooms you can store in? I second totes, or possibly a nice storage cabinet from Lowe’s or Home Depot with doors? And possibly purge some close to empty containers.

Find some boxes that will fit under your bed, unless your mattress is on the floor, then scratch that.

Haha this reminds me of my single days of apartment living. I didn't have a garage to store stuff so I used my dining room as my storage shed lol. I had a tool chest, floor jack, jack stands, stack of wheels, exhaust, and other misc car parts all in my dining room. I lived on 2nd floor so getting everything up and down was an adventure also.
