Any rust or water damage depending on where the truck has been. Search for pictures of the cam tower leak and look for signs of it.

The bed where the the bolts go in and the frame support goes horizontally across. Bed bubbles up on top side.

    Welcome.

Take each truck on an extended test drive with the radio off, listen for odd noises, thumps & bumps. Work every switch & button, put it on a lift or crawl under and inspect everything you can see with a flashlight. Open the hood and check fluids and the air filter. Look over the service records, and ask why it's being sold.

Avoid car dealers, buy from a private owner.

    Welcome from Nor Cal,
07 5.7, long bed, original owner, early water pump failure, starter replacement about a year ago so far. 227k at this point... Heavy jack took care of my tailgate pivot point... still holds together pretty well....

Multiple threads going about this issue. The rust is NOT caused by the truck having a plastic bed liner, it starts on the underside due to poor sealing and rusts from the underside up. I have LINE-X and in the bed at each bed mount the LINE-X is being pushed up or looks to be blistering from the rust. I the truck has a plastic bed liner ask to have it removed or pulled out so you can inspect the top side of the bed as well.

    Not nearly enough room here!
Watch out for that Driver's Side Grab Handle, Toyota tells us it's a "Safety Hazard." Might want to hack saw it off, before someone gets hurt!:D
