That size runs $330 a tire so you are saving the price of 1 basically. They are good tires. Why were they removed?

Depends on whether the risks are worth the savings... warranty doesn’t transfer and what if they don’t balance? If you’re willing to take the chance - jump on it!

Wouldn't be enough of a savings for me to take the risk.

I'd see if they'd take a little less.

+1. I’d pay the extra few hundred bucks to get peace of mind. If you could get them for 600 then MAYBE. I picked up a <500 mile 295/70/18 RG to throw on my spare for $50! New set (with warranty) coming tomorrow and can’t wait to get them mounted.

I bought my set of Ridge Grapplers used with a bit less mileage, saved about the same money. They've been totally fine. Trying to find a shop that would install a set of used tires was a lot more of a hassle than I want to deal with the next time around though.

I got my used Ridge Grapplers (35s) for about $600 for 5 (4 had about 11K miles and 1 was new). I was able to have America’s Tire install and I bought certs for the tires.

I would want to know why they were replacing (you don’t want to inherit someone else’s problems and as others have said, warranties don’t transfer).

$900 seems a bit high. If they would take less then it might be worth the risk. I would also want to know the tread depth.

Supposedly he wanted to go a different route. He also had some Fuel wheels for sale also.

I appreciate all the responses. My initial thoughts were saving money to buy used. But with tires, the trade off isn't worth it. All had good points especially about warranty and issues if they didn't balance. Thanks again guys. Naaay

Yeah it depends on the item. I saved $1200 on a CL sale last week.
