New Tundra owner here, so Im not sure if this is a safety feature or an issue:

When I unlock my truck from my FOB, I cannot immediately re-lock it. I have to wait until the lights go off until the lock function from my FOB works again.

    Is this normal?

Have you swapped any lights over to LEDs? The cargo housing is known to cause interference with the fob receiver.

Sure did! First MOD I made a couple of days ago. Swapped all the interior lights, license plate, and cargo lights. Is there something I can do to fix that? Or is this something Im living with?

I believe "lights on with unlock" is a "Customizable Feature". Check your Owner Manual. My 2017 came with the "lights on with unlock" feature deselected. The lights being on timed cycle may prevent any additional operations until the cycle has timed out. Unlocking with the fob, then immediately attempting to relock with the fob, is a rare operation in normal use. If you can't wait until the lights turn off to relock your truck, you may have to deselect "lights on with unlock" feature.

Toyota has to decide how the average owner will use their vehicle.

Edit: You can also select how long the headlights will stay on exiting the truck, from 60 seconds down to 7.5 seconds. This time interval may be the same one applied to the "lights on with unlock" feature. Experiment to your satisfaction.

Definitely the LEDs. I just leave my cargo light in the off position all the time. As long as it doesn't come on, it won't interfere with the frequency.
