    Lots of shenanigans.
I have an ICS and love it, I agree that the Rago looks more finished but was happy to save some extra money. I believe that the Rago has blemished items and if I did it again, I would go that route with an ICS mount plate.

Go with the Rago. You are going to have to look at it every single time you drive. So spend the extra money and get it. That being said, I got my Rago for $100.00 with a coupon code. And, in lieu of the ICS back plate, I cut a piece of carbon fiber to use for my back plate. Just as rigid and cost me nothing.

I've got the Rago and ICS mount plate but in all honesty plywood would work just as well to stabilize the Rago. The mount just needs to have a big footprint.

    Go with Rago.
    It’s more intuitive.
You have to get your fingers under the ICS mount to tighten accessories.
The Rago is pre-threaded and just works better.
    Plus it looks badass.
Go with the ICS under plate, though.
The ICS mounts and such are nice too.
    Sign up for Rago’s email.
They’ll send about three a day.
Eventually, you’ll get the coupon you want.

The ICS is much more versatile in mounting options. As you are not limited to where the tapped holes are.

ICS’ design is a bit of a pain but just buy longer mounting bolts and install them from the bottom instead of the top and put a clip washer on the mounting bolts and you can remove the top mount and not have to take out the stereo as it will hold the bolts and mounting plate in place while you have the top mount removed to tighten your nuts without having to try to get your fingers underneath.

I think I gave $114 for the ICS mount, plate, and, dual USB power outlet.

Just installed my Rago and ICS plate yesterday. Took about 3 to 4 hours but I like the look of the Rago with my dash cover. It took me forever to figure out what I wanted, but eventually just went for it. Good luck with your set up!

    How so?
Actually, you’re not limited to the the holes in the Rago.
You just have to use the slots like ICS recommends... “install your mounts before installing mounting plate.” Um.

    Just buy longer bolts? Ok.

If you can’t mount enough accessories in the Rago, you’re not doing right.

ICS ball mounts and accessories are top notch.
However, the mounting platform or table is not well thought out and cumbersome, IMO.

    I’ve owned both.

I think I am going to go this route but use some sheet metal or aluminum plate cut to fit inside the opening
