Just thought it was an interesting picture to see the difference between the new LED black fog lights vs. the older halogen model at the same time and on the same truck. For the record, although the black LEDs are not OEM Japanese but the Chinese made models, they still look and work worlds better than the old halogen lights. I replaced the headlights with TRD Pro LEDs and immediately hated the old yellow halogen fogs and had to replace...I couldn't afford the RIGID lights!

How hard was the fog light install? Is it just a matter of going through the wheel well liner?

It was very simple to install these. Although these are LEDs, the plug connection is the same as for the halogens. Simply remove the front well liner, unplug the light, remove the one phillips head screw that locks the fog light in place, and pivot the fog light toward the wheel, pulling the two tabs out of the holding slots to remove. Hardest part is removing the well liner. Now, the TRD Pro Rigid fogs are probably a much different story.

Thanks for the post. I have an SR that I'd like to add fog lights to and have been going back and forth with some used halogen or the black LED fogs from Toyota.

Just to be clear, you feel like these LED fogs add a noticeable amount of visibility compared to the halogen?

Absolutely. I think anyone who has replaced their halogens with LEDS would agree that they are superior in almost every way. Clear and more defined white light vs. dull yellow. The black LEDS are made in China but still branded by Toyota. They are less expensive than the "white" OEM LED fogs, but work very well I think. I believe I paid around $108 from McGeorge Toyota online parts site. My lights were a little lose in the plastic bezel so I used tie-wrap to pull-up tight and then leveled using the dial on the back of the LED light housing.
