I’m changing the Engine Coolant Temperature sensor today, and I’ll keep you updated on results.

Did you do any data logging with the shop's diag tool?

I replaced my battery as it was cranking kinda weak, now it cranks awesome and the truck actually wouldn't start for the first time ever.

it seems like it was flooded or something as it stunk like gas. I finally got it fired and it ran normal. but something is way outta wack.

Im taking it to Toyota tomorrow.

I got a nice AGM battery from farm and fleet, its pretty nice, made in USA as well.

this start up trouble is a PISS off for a 2016 truck with 63K on it.

Isn’t there a fuel pressure regulator that keeps pressure on the rail after the truck is shut off???

    ok Toyota called.

they said its the fuel pump and Needs an ECU upgrade.

there is a TSB out but Im past my 3/36.

thankfully I have the platinum OEM extended warranty so everything is covered including the rental, otherwise this would have been pricey!!!

Ill report back with more info when I get it

went to pick up my tundra today, windshield was broke. After having a little discussion with them, they are ordering a new windshield and will put it in on their dime. Fun stuff after over a week without it.

anyway, it does start perfect now, here is the information if that helps anyone

No I never took mine to the shop it cleared itself up without having to do anything. It would always start, sometimes it would just take 2-3 cycles before it started.
