    Hi
I've been searching for answers with no luck....would greatly appreciate your help.

I have a 2017 Toyota Tundra with a 1.5 inch ready lift levelling kitt.
My stock tires and wheels are 275 55r20.

I wish to run 285 60 r20 tires. With stock wheels. Is this possible? I do not mind any kind of trimming if needed.
I have read for every inch of lift you gain one inch of height. My current tires are 31.9 inches tall.
And I believe I would only be adding 0.7 inches in width by going from current tires to 285 60r20s.

    Thanks in advance

Size change would be from 31.9 to 33.5 according to tiresize.com/calculator. I have read the mud flaps have to be removed or pushed out of the way for the changes you are considering. Best of luck!

I am on stock suspension. Had 285 55R20 from dealer and now have 275 60R20. No rubbing on either. Can’t tell the difference really between the two tires

275 60 R20 is 33 inches tall and has a width of 10.83 inches. Do you think you could possibly go up to 33.5 inch tall tire with a width of 11.5 inches?

And how about if you kept the width at 11.5 inches and bumped up the diameter to 34.5 inches...

I know lots of people will say get a suspension lift, but currently I can not afford that sadly.....but hoping to one day get the bds 7 inch lift installed

So what do you think.....what is tallest tire I could go with? Appreciate your input

    Thank you

I just got 275/60r20 Ridge Grapplers yesterday. Sitting on what I think is a 2" leveling kit that was installed prior to me owning the truck and rubbed what I think to be the skid plate pulling out of the vet's office earlier (ultimate mall crawling action). It wasn't a super weird transition to the parking lot to the road so i was a little confused but I guess I'll see if it keeps happening and address it if so. I haven't rubbed going in and out of my driveway and the approach angle pulling out of it is super steep.

You should be ok with a chance you’ll need to bend up the corners of the skid plate and possibly push the front liners forward.
Super easy to do and gives plenty of room.
I went with 285/65/20 but had some room to play with since I went with billstein 6112s up front. I hope this helps!

I still love them, I ended up dropping the skid and cutting it because I live in an Urban area and navigating parking garages with only 75% of my turning radius without rubbing wasn't working out well. But that took care of the problem and I still love the setup. They are the XL rated as I don't think you can go larger without running an E-rated tire. I'm contemplating going larger on the next set but not 100% sure I want to deal with the roughness of the E-rated tire. I came from a duramax and the standard load tires make a world of difference in ride comfort...
