    Hey Guys,

I just bought a 2021 Tundra 1794 and as some of you already know it comes with its own WiFi via AT&T ( I believe it came with Verizon on the 2020 models). My question is can I swap out a sim card somewhere and connect it to another carrier, or am I locked into AT&T? Maybe it doesn't have a SIM card at all??

I can't seem to find any info on this.

Honestly, I wouldn't put alot of effort into it.

I have a 2020 and tried the ATT wifi package. (I already have ATT mobile)

The service and reliability absolutely sucked. Very spotty reception and constantly dropping connection. The Android Auto was just as bad.
I disconnected/cancelled service after about a month of frustration.

I just hotspot off my phone now... and use a tablet for GPS navigation. Haven't had a single issue since.

Toyota makes great trucks... but really screwed the pooch with the electronics part of it.

Probably cheaper too unless you have other services with ATT

My experience w my 2020 has been great with the AT&T wifi. No issues with connection and it reconnects to the kiddos iPad automatically. The electronics updates for the 2020+ is what I was waiting for and what kept me away from prior model year Tundras. SmartKey, Android Auto - CarPlay, Integrated antenna, Toyota App, and the Wifi are all nice to have. Just my .02

Not bad. I may consider that when I'm on the road more.

WiFi works great in my truck. Usually has better reception than my AT&T iPhone.

Welcome, Eric, from LA (Lower Alabama)! I have a 2020 1794 and have never tried the Wifi. I already have AT&T unlimited everything so I just use my (or my wife's) hotspot on the phone if I need anything.
