    Mates!

I need a couple of recommendations from the experience in this forum. Right now, I have a 2017 TRD off road Crew Max with a 2” level in the front and airbags in the tail. I’m running stock 18” wheels and Nitto Ridge Grappler 275 / 70R / 18.

It’s almost time for new shoes and I’m not sure what I want to do. I’m not well versed in the world of wheels and tires.

1.) Would you keep stock wheels?
2.) Would you need or want spacers if you went up to 20” wheels?
3.) Basically, what would you do?

I tow a camper sometimes, tow a trailer w/a 4wheeler sometimes, rooftop tent and overland much of the time, I don’t rock crawl or do any serious off-reading. I tossed on a TRD sway bar last summer and the air bags last month.

I realize this a loaded question and it depends on a ton of factors however, I really want to tap into the wisdom on this forum. Thanks!

Going from a 275/70-18 to a 35x12.50-18 is NOT going up 1 size, it is going up more like 4 or 5 sizes. There is ZERO chance a 2 inch level will fit 35s, most people with 3 inch lifts have to chop their body mounts just to fit 35s.

This is why I asked. Thanks for the education and sparing me the embarrassment asking the shop.

295/70-18 seems to be the sweet spot for 2-3 inch lifts, they are still a 34.3 x 11.8 inch tire, but they clear the body mounts. I would suggest looking into that size if I was you. No such thing as embarrassing questions brother, nobody is born knowing this stuff.

Thanks again for the sound advise. I wen’t with the Nitto Ridge Grapplers 295 70r 18 as suggested and very pleased with the result. I have to trim a small amount on the skid plate but other than that, outstanding suggestion. Thanks brother. 5C772D65-0A2A-490E-8548-868F101DCC6B.jpg

No problem bro, glad I could help, truck looks awesome! You are going to love those tires, they are the perfect sweet spot in my opinion, ride great on road and off, look amazing with real aggressive side wall, and are not that loud. Congrats!
