Today helped my Pastors 16 year old son change the front brakes on his ‘99 Mustang V6. Pads were pretty thin. Have a good connection at Oreilly, so had rotors turned for free and upgraded from semi metallic to ceramic pads at same price. Did his first oil change and we changed his serpentine belt as well. Good way to start the new year! And I did clear with his dad that I wasn’t taking away any special father/son teaching time.
Overall cost him about $80 for front brakes, oil change and serpentine belt. He did the majority of the labor, so he understood the value of doing it yourself.
