    Yeah, tough spot.
If even possible, maybe get a hold of her and see what her situation it?
Sell it back to her for a fair profit for your parts/labor?

    That's where I'd probably go.

Worst case she wants to buy it back, best case she already bought something new but at least knows to avoid a shitty mechanic.

Yeah, it's a tough call inserting yourself into a situation like that.
Maybe she's a single mom and still looking for a car, or maybe it was a commuter car for a financially secure couple.

Tie rod disconnected, and the hub free to turn, it was hard to hold it while taking the 4 LBJ bolts out. Shoved a claw hammer between the caliper, and the lower shock mount. Just enough room to get a socket on it.

Drivers side spindle is out. Coilover too.

I've been working on this side for about an hour. Damn good progress, but too cold. Can't feel fingers even with the heater.

    Calling it quits for tonight.

    Tomorrow... :sawzall:

Also, once the coilover, and spindle was out. I played around with the control arms. Feels like the upper arm is spring loaded.
    Is that normal?

Both arms creak/squeal when they move. Hopefully I'm solving some weird noises I didn't even know I had. Lol

My old arms were the same way. The SPC arms pivoted smoothly. I put it to corrosion on the bushing sleeves.

In my opinion it will pay dividends, at some point, to try and contact this lady and fix what this horrid shop has done to her. It's not your place by no means to do so but I do believe the payday you were hoping for could be greater by doing so.

But if not you should have no shame in moving forward with your plan.

    Good luck on your decision

    Interesting.
The pass side SPC arms were super schmooooooov. Moved easy free hand.

    Granted they are brand new...

Man, that's awful. I don't think I would be able to turn a profit on it. I'd have to get a hold of her and see if she wanted to get it back for whatever I paid. I'm a softy, though. If nothing else she should be warned about the shop that screwed her.

It definitely has its place and with all the close calls you’ve had with deer, I don’t blame you for looking into bumpers like that. I personally would go with BFF’s full bar option. That iron bull bumper looks like it’s for a full ton.

Can anyone tell me from this picture - if this truck has the dreaded expensive complicated brakes? IIRC there would be a "traction control off" switch on the dash? I can't tell what that lower switch on the right is under the cargo lamp button. Truck is a 2006 that is tempting me (with RSCA system)

Might be mirror heaters? Doesn't look like a trac control button to me. I'm not a double cab expert though.

Close. It's for the rear/mirror defroster.

IIRC the RSCA button is on the left side of the dash.

That switch looks like rear window defrost maybe..? Is it a double cab?

Quoting myself. It is a double cab. 2006. I think that button is rear window defrost but can't tell.
The RSCA isn't really relevant - that's the side airbags. Something I want, but irrelevant to the Brakes / traction control issue.
I sort'a recall the traction control button is to left under hazards, or low by the a/c button. i suck at "search", thus the ask here.

Not certain a Sequoia is the same, but if it is, then I don't think there is a button. Basing this off the video below.

so item 21, LSD switch is next to 4wd switches. So the truck doesn't have it. Bonus.

The diagram shows that the Tundri do have a switch - item 21. I will buy a truck w/o this system rather than buy one w/ & when the system goes bad, unplug it & drive around with warning lights on my dash. The truck I'm considering we now know from the diagram - does not have the switch/system.
