1st Gen Fender Flares - Ebay

I was looking through The YouTubes today and a video popped up on a guy installing these. They look like a good option for those looking to add some easily without breaking the bank. Don't know about quality but they look good enough.

Anyone here have these? What do you think of them?

I do not like the rivet dimples. There is another brand out there that requires paint that looks factory style. Forgot the name, but they are on fleebai.

 

Same camp, but if you're gonna do it, use black fasteners. That said, they kind match his wheels...

 

Those outer fasteners are just for aesthetics apparently, they mount on underside or inside it looks.

 

I have these flares without the pocket holes in the sides. The install is simple and I have had for almost a year. They make the truck look way cooler and they have held up! I would recommend them.

I bought the textured style without pocket bolts. I will have pictures up in a minute.

 

The first picture is current. The second is from a year ago when I installed them.

 

Damn it, I need something else to do to my truck like I need a hole in my head..

 

I like the rivet pockets myself. Looks all Mad max utility-first badass. But not as clean and smooth as the factory ones for sure. The paint on mine is about to shed all of it's clearcoat after 20 years. Guess I'll be sparying some bedliner on them.

 

Can someone tell me why these don't fit the DC's? I ran across a comment in that video a while back that said they will but seller says they won't...what's the difference?

Can anyone confirm if these would fit a 2000 Tundra? Manuf. says '03-'06 but if they attach inside the wheel well, I'm not sure why they wouldn't fit a 2000.

They should fit as long as you have an access cab. The only part that will not fit is the front bumper part. Other wise they should be interchangeable.

 

Will the front bumper side not fit at all? And if so, is there anything to be done about this?

 

Why in the world is there no fix for the giant fender flares for the double cab? I’m rocking it holes showing and all!
