Looking for some advice regarding the Kappa 2” speaker installed in the corner dash locations. I’m having an issue with extreme brightness that I can’t seem to cure. So if anyone has experienced this with the Kappas or any brand for that matter I’d appreciate your thoughts and experiences.

This is an extremely common issue with aftermarket speakers installed in the dash. Most people, simply disconnect the factory dash speakers and do not replace. In my situation, replacing all of the door speakers with Kenwood Excelon 7" components made the dash speakers sound redundant anyway. In fact, the OEM dash speakers do not even come hooked up to the factory amp, but rather directly to the H/U. I am assuming, the techs at Toyota probably also felt that the dash speakers would be too "bright" being powered by the amp.
