Found some rust at the bottom of the door behind some of the weather stripping.

Would I be best to do some light sanding and rust reform here as well?

 

Wouldn't hurt. Theoretically rust could get bad enough and corrode to the holes for the weather stripping, making them where they won't be able to push in? Or eat away and make cab noise louder?

Sand off rust, Rust Reform Prime, Light Finish Coat, and then pour a little oil in those holes.

Yeah I’ve got the battery disconnected, and I’m expecting that to happen; tomorrow I am headed to pick up a boat and will get some freeway time for the computer to get its mojo back

 

While doing some feather dusting I noticed how corroded my POS terminal had gotten even since last cleaning, for some reason I thought my Pos cable needed to be re crimped to use my SDHQ replacement terminals, it’s actually the negative that needs to be cut and crimped, either way I’m doing the positive terminal this week.



don’t tell the 2nd genners; but I locked ALL of my doors..............and the battery is disconnected!!!!! What will I ever do?!

 

You know.... I don't believe I've ever used a key to unlock the Tundra. Not even sure there's a visible key lock on the doors. From above - guess there is.

 

Haha our 4runner doesn’t have a key hole on the passenger side, it’s sooooooo obnoxious!!!
Before our remote start we only had one fob and one extra non fob key(valet), guess who got stuck w the valet key? Then guess who broke their remote start fob throwing their keys one night.......

we should be so lucky to have multiple key holes!!! Along with driver grab handles!!!

it’s weird going around checking cars to bid on knowing some people died in these vehicles. I still recall seeing a steering column that didn’t collapse going through the front seat of a car and a big brown dried up blood stain surrounding it.

There’s no reason this radiator won’t fit an 07 sequoia right? Wife’s is probably gonna need one. Tried a new cap but she’s still leaking. Buddy’s shop said to keep an eye on it. Good news is I don’t mind putting a radiator in lol

 

CSF is what i'd buy. alot of champion radiators failing on 1st gen tacos. The CSF is for doublce cab tundras, which are the same as sequoias last i checked

 

@empty_lord, you the man. Is it worth shelling out the extra for the all aluminum versus the oem replacement on the csf’s?

I like the idea of it because you loose the weak plastic outlets and we’re planning on the sequoia being around for a long time

 

i went all aluminum. noticeable improvement in trans temps, coolant temps rock solid with the OEM, no change with aluminum. reliability of aluminum "should" be better, but do remember, welds can fail too. I went aluminum because my plastic tanks like to crack. I went full custom from radiator supply house and they offer a full lifetime warranty if it did ever fail.



basically its worth it if you want to keep the truck for over 8 years (8 years is typically when plastic tanks get pretty brittle and start running the risk of failure.

but nothing wrong with going aftermarket Denso to save a buck if youre not keeping the truck for a long long time

 

Did you ever find an all-aluminum radiator for the AC/RC?
