First off, Hello. I’m new to Tundras and have only owned a 88 Yota in the past. So pretty much new to the scene. I picked up my used 2014 TRD Off-Road tundra with 19,500 miles three weeks ago. Pretty stoked to find the truck I was looking for at the price I wanted to pay and unmoested. And here starts my built....

The day after I bought the truck I ordered my wheels, tires, and lift. Method Mesh 18x9” +18 offset, BFG TA K02s 35x12.5xR18, Old Man Emu 3” lift.

I had some having to do (of course) to fit my rubbers, but it was easy and fun... I did the body mount, also about 12” of the pinch weld and the plastic. Also cut out a bunch of the front (behind the fogs) and about 1-1/4” of the skid plate on each side. Now no rubbing at full crank no matter what (so far).

OK, sorry for not posting pics I was trying to upload from my phone but was also BBQ'n and had a beer in my hand sooo... Anyway I'll try not to post too many pics of the chopping I had to do. Also please excuse me if these posts come in pieces or without the right description next to the photo I'm still new to this...

First was the BMC, only took me a couple hours and that was with having to run out the buy a new jack and stands, once I got the first side done the second side only took about 20 minutes. At first I was a little nervous chopping into my truck but after the first cut it didn't matter anymore. I also went ahead and sliced into the pinch weld a bit then hammered it over to increase clearance there and allow me to melt the plastic back further.

The final result after heating up the plastic and pushing it back.

I also took out a few inches from the bumper. I added a S.S. 1/4-20 bolt with a Ny-loc nut because I ended up cutting out the other bolts.

Had to cut out about 1-1/4" from the side of the skid plate to eliminate rubbing at full crank. Now there is slight rubbing on the sway bar but thats fine, it doesn't make any noise.

Those roof racks are sick. Where did you get them?

Thanks they are Thule brand. Got them from a local roof rack shop. I need to get a fairing though, pretty loud going down the highway.

    Thx, for great info.
You did this with stock ride height on TRD Offroad correct?
How is the sway bar rubbing now?
Did you have to cut the front bumper?
