Hey all I’m new to the Toyota world. Sorry it took me so long to divorce Ford. Sigh. Anyway. I am looking if someone can point me out to any thread dealing with this:

I have a 2020 tundra crewmax try off-road cement grey. Chrome bumper Ends.
I replaced the front grill for the heritage grill. I wanted to replace the bumper ends with oem painted ones the pro has.
I was told by dealer that if I did this I would have to also change the sensors as for some magic reason they are different. Any insight on this. Thanks guys/gals

I highly doubt it.. Makes no sense to me to have 3 different sonar brackets for 1 vehicle, but in case I'm wrong, here is the part number you can look it up for yourself and judge...

I recently swapped out my factory chrome bumper corners for the OEM painted plastic ones. There was a couple extra parts I had to buy for getting the fog lights to properly fit in the plastic bumper corners.
I do recall having a tough time getting the sonar sensors to fit, but it didn’t require any extra brackets or anything.

For the love of god don't waste your money on buying painted OEM end caps. The best and cheapest route to go is to buy the bumpershellz in unpainted and have a local body shop paint them. I had mine painted in quicksand for about $80. I will post pics when I get home.

@Roman is our OEM parts guy, and he can probably tell you if there is actually a different part number for the sensors. If not, I'd be for calling the dealership out on attempting to gouge a customer and spread the word about the shady practice in the community. They behave badly because no one calls them on it.

I second the bumpershellz over the factory replacements. 1000x easier to install and way cheaper.

Ha nothing is cheaper if it's going to Canada.. Bumpershellz would still be 820 bucks plus paint. (converting dollar to dollar). But I get what you're throwing out there.

To contribute to this, I originally had chrome bumpers on my 2018 CM. Swapped these with the color matched bumper ends (from sparks parts). While there is some additional parts for the foglights (to fasten them down), i didn't have any issues (nor have any new problems at present) with the original sensors and mounts...

That being said, I am having the Bumpershellz covers for the rear (some inner feeling wants me to keep the rear bumper "metal")...

@Bodizaffa sorry for the delay, but here are the bumpershellz i ordered in unpainted and had them painted myself. I think the quicksand color is pretty spot on. Also in the pics the bumpershellz are just put on there to give you a sense of how close the paint matches if you have them painted. Hope this helps
