Upgrading rims and tires 2017 crewmax SR5

I have 2017 Crewmax SR5 with a original Toyota tire and rim
275/65 R18 114T M+S , I’m thinking of upgrading it to 275/60 R20, I’m not putting a lift kit. I love the ride of my original wheels, do you think the ride will be different if I change it to 275/60 R20 Do this new size will mess up my speedometer? And I’m pulling every summer my trailer for camping, is gonna help or effect my towing? thanks

Speedo will be spot on with 275/60 R20 combo. if you go LT there will be a difference in ride. LT are stiffer and not as marshmellowy (real word?) as the P rated tires. LT is better for towing. I find they handle better too.
And why 20? I think the 18 is the better all around size

 

Going to 20 from 18 will worsen the ride if you keep the same type of tire - the extra sidewall helps absorb bumps. As for towing the size won't change anything, but if you tow a bunch I'd recommend going with LT tires, always good to air on the side of caution when looking at tires, and LT's can handle more weight.

 

I want new look for my Tundra for 2021 ...new matte black rims, still thinking staying 18” Or upgrading to 20”? I’ll keep the original Toyota rims for my winter tires.

 

The proposed tire size change would indeed change things. 275/60 R20 is a 33" tire vs the stock 32" tire, your speedo would read 65 when your actually going about 66.9 mph. This will also raise your gear ratio translating to less overall torque.
