What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Didn't get to do anything on my Tundra today but did finally get to use my traction boards! Had a Cub Scout thing earlier today with my son and one of the mom's thought her Honda CRV with worn out all season tires was fine to drive through over a foot of snow in a dirt parking lot. Cheap Amazon traction boards for the win! Of course as an act of dominance I drove through the same foot of snow after I got her out in the Tundra and then parked the truck. If it wasn't MGM i'm not sure if I would have made it

Did order a topper today so I guess that does count. Will be a bit before it's on the truck though.

 

Just got done installing Dirty Deeds 10”. Wow, just.....wow. Can’t wipe the smile off my face. Keith is the man, great quality product!

I had a Ranchhand cow-catcher put on at Bitterroot Truck Outfitters in Hamilton, Montana this week. Black powdercoat, well designed, excellent installation!

Where I live, I have to slam on the brakes for mule deer, whitetail, wapiti, bighorn sheep, pronghorn, black angus, moose, black bear and cougar.

 

If you just happen to not stop in time for a nice black angus or maybe you accidentally run off the road and hit one do you get to keep it? I mean it would be a shame to waste such a delicious ribeye.

 

I really don’t think you’re supposed to be driving through the zoo like that.

I wasn't any type of hero saving anyone but ended up a hero anyway to my kids. I took them for a haircut and hit a handful of dirt lots by me yet to be plowed. Definitely a foot of snow and went through it no problem, even managed to pull off a couple donuts for the boys. They said it was the best haircuts they ever got lol.

Since I too drive a MGM I wasn't concerned about getting stuck.

 

What wheels are those? Really like them!

 

Sanded, etched, primed the bed for a raptor lining spray job. Was going to spray today but my compressor is missing so......Sunday job?

 

What would you have them do? Keep in mind “Bondo” is just a generic name for body filler. Most shops use some sort of 3M Light weight body filler and it’s in everything including new vehicles sitting on the lot.

 

Today I drove my Tundra eleven hours round trip for a used N-Fab M-RDS bumper. Already powder coated to match truck and already has a Rough Country lightbar. I am on the fence on the powder coated red skidplate though. Now to buy and mount some fog lights and install in the Spring.

 

Finally got the ARK splash guards from Black Friday installed! Also got some VLEDS strip lights to use as under hood lighting!

 

Changed the oil for the first time since I bought it. Fixed the door lock actuator problem I was having. Polished off the oxidation on my headlights.

 

Being its a 2020, a new part.

 

Got 8,000 on the odo, time for a few more upgrades. The Off Road suspension feels kinda soft for me so doing a small upgrade to 5100 front and back, 2" blocks at back and some Zone UCAs.

 

Man, that's a lot of sanding! Do they do that to a brand new truck when it gets a bedliner sprayed in?
I've had it done in a few trucks but never really payed attention to how they did it.

 

Washed the truck and installed my RBR20’s today. I am hoping to get the BedRug installed tomorrow.

 

They better, otherwise it won't bond to the surface properly. Prep is key.

I guess it just never occurred to me that they spent that much time sanding an entire bed to spray the liner in.
The cost now makes way more sense.

 

Oh for sure. When you get something lined you're paying for the prep work.

 

I used to do them. We'd use a grinding disc & gouge the entire bed for good adhesion of the liner.

 

Well, then @jefroshm0 doing it himself as a little weekend project is even more impressive.

Didn’t take pics but I can. Nothing major other than doing the lighting under truck to work with orb on lock and unlock. Also, installed oem door seal protectors.

 

Excellent choice of steps! I have no complaints about mine! I even took a 1/16" drill bit and drilled out the rivets of the cheesy chrome go rhino logo for an all black look

 

Changed out my rear door speakers. Changing head unit tomorow. Also did the ant climate control knobs but messed up one and have to re do it so it works right

 

I contemplated getting those but still debating because of the people talking about the finish and longevity has mixed reviews. Also, the stupid chrome plate. I mean...l if you want to go chrome delete.... that’s a killer....just sayin

Curious to see a close up of you drilling out the plate. Any chipping around where you did?

 

Yes they do. The spray liner won’t adhere to a smooth painted surface.

 

May have to try that out after I get done with the BedRug and remote tailgate lock (whenever it comes in - apparently on backorder at the moment?)

I was finally about to install the BORA 1.25 spacers today.
These definitely makes the stance a lot better and also makes me want to spend more money on a lift lol
