Putting BDS 7-inch lift on my 17 4WD Tundra with intent to run 37-inch tires. Looking for advice on:
    1) Gear change - yes or no? and if so,
    2) 4.88 or 5.29 (figure on getting Nitro kit either way).

    Thanks, Web

    Welcome first of all
I've got the bds 7 on 38x13.5s. Did I need the gear change no. Did I notice an improvement yes.
5.29s is basically what everyone agrees with around here. Lots on info on the subject if you use the search bar.

7" BDS Coilover Suspension Lift/BDS UCAs/XB LED Headlights/Nitto trail Grappler tires on Black Rhyno Armory wheels
I ve had the 7" bds coilover lift on my 07 dc for some time. I kept stock gear ratio; 4:30 I think it is. The only difference is I chose 35's. Before the lift the throttle was very touchy. Sometimes it launched like a dragster if you wern t paying attention. The lift, and tire change tamed it a bit, so I m happy with the results.
