May be a stupid question but I never really mess with suspension myself. Bought the coachbuilder poly leaf spring bushings in an attempt to help negate some of the bed bounce.

I did not get the shackles yet due to the holidays and less concern for them at the time so my question is if I will be able to install the bushings without the shackles for now or if I have to have both? Looked like just the bushings would be fine but wanted to double check. Emailed and messaged Coachbuilder but never got a reply so here I am.

I doubt you will notice any difference with the poly bushings. Members here have tried many combinations of leaf and shock replacements to lessen the bounce. I would recommend going down that path if your concern is bed bounce.

Appreciate the info! I read that too but I also heard good things about the bushings and at $55 it seemed like a good first step. I know weight is the biggest benefactor and I'll be buying sandbags too before winter. Just wanted to try a couple things to help so I don't have to keep moving sandbags in and out. Shocks are on my list and shackles are gonna happen too, just gonna have to wait until next year

If anyone is ever curious in the future, did get ahold of Ekstrom Designs where I got the bushings and he said yes, you can install them before or without the shackles
