I installed some flood pattern ditch lights the other day. They seem like they’re illuminating the hood too much and not lighting up the ditches at all. (Yes, they’re cheap lights but I’ve had good luck with them in the past.)
Do y’all prefer flood or spot pattern?
Do y’all aim them ~45 degrees out?
    Thanks.

Flood and spot at around 40°. Still have a little glare off the hood still. Im hoping the driving pattern from DB is going to be better.

I've got mine angle out at about 45* with a flood pattern. I have them pointed out for more of a cornering light and I got a light bar to illuminate forward but a lot of people just run them as extra forward lights. It all depends on what you are looking for and what you like.

Here's a pic of my lights. I don't have a shot from inside the cab but you can mostly tell that there is very little light bleed onto the hood.

Pretty happy with my Auxbeam side shooters , seem to be a happy medium between a spot and a flood
