Bought a 2021 CM last week. Noticed the bumper is slightly crooked.

If your facing the truck the left side has a bigger gap than the right.

I brought it back to the dealership and we found ALL the new Tundras were like this...

They told me that they can't adjust it...

If you have a new one, go look at your bumper... sorry if you have it and I just am going to drive you crazy as you'll never NOT notice it...

Let me know if you have the same issue...

Mine was. The dealership body shop straightened it to even the tailgate gap, but now the bumper looks crooked compared to the hitch

They also evened out some gaps on the front bumper caps as well.

The rear really bothers me looking at when it’s in my garage. Between the tundra lean and bumper adjustment, nothing is square with the garage opening.

Mine is that way. Been a chronic issue for this gen it seems. The bed may play a part of it too, the box not being perfectly square on the frame. You could try loosening the 4 bed bolts and try and shimmy the bed. Not sure if it will work, but it seems like there is a thread on here suggesting that. The Torx bolts seem to come loose pretty easy to try. I figured that it doesn't cause any issue so I haven't messed with it. Last thing I need is a stripped bolt or loose or broken part all for a cosmetic fix rather than functional.

yeah it's weird. one of my co-workers has a SR5 DC and it's perfectly straight.

The tech said that to potentially "fix" it would be like 4-6 hrs labor (wtf?)

I said f'it, I'll ignore it. Eventually going to change the front bumper at some point down the road

I am referring to the rear bumper of course. My front end looks good.

They must be morons. The front bumper support tube has slotted holes where it mounts to the frame to allow for adjustments.

Yeah this is the front bumper. I looked at probably a dozen DC and CM '21's parked on their lot with the tech and they all were like that. Wider gap on the left side tapering to the right..

For a 50K truck, you'd think they would monitor fit/finish like that *shrug*

Seems like a common theme amongst service departments these days.

That's what I thought - they wouldn't use straight threaded holes to mount it... I'll look at it later when the weather warms (I'm in VT) and see if I can fix it

2021s appear to have more quality issues overall compared to past years. Wish I had $1 for each time someone posts something wonky, noisy, off or vibrating on their 2021 Tundra. Hope everyone gets any issues sorted out and honestly, it is surprising to me to see this trend. Certainly no comparison to issues or adjustments required from other Truck manufacturers, but it is a little concerning. Guess I would rather have a bumper misaligned than have a new RAM spit out its electronics or transmission.

Toyota has a reputation for making something that is reliable and think for the most part they do. And when the don't people get very upset.

When I bought our first 2016 tundra it was for that very reason and so far mechanically it's been great nothing at all with over 100km but some of the fit and finish was sub-par in terms of quality. Bumpers not lined up both front and back some of the stitching on the interior seats not nice and straight defiantly could be a lot better.

I took the time to straighten and aline up the bumpers myself it's wasn't that hard ...but why can't it be done right at the factory.

This has been bothering me on my 2017 since I got it - when I took it back dealer told me "How do we know you didn't bump the truck into a pole or something". Glad i'm not the only one with this issue - I will look at readjusting it, or ripping it off off-roading - oopsie, good reason for a aftermarket stealth series.
