Sadly, my Heretic Studios lighting didn't arrive before installation day, so I had to retrofit the 30" light bar into the bumper. I thought I had to remove the entire bumper, but it turns out that I only had to remove the grill and the winch to get it in there.

Where did you purchase the paint? How much did all of this cost?

Did you end up buying the TRD Pro grill surrounds or did you just paint the chrome pieces and drop in the insert?

Same for the fog light bumper pieces, did you paint the chrome ones black or buy black pieces? If bought, do you have the link?

hey man, I ended up getting the grill assembly (hood bulge, insert and surround) through Running4Tacos. It’s not OEM but less expensive. I would’ve ordered OEM through sparks but they didn’t offer a color-matched option in Cavalry blue so I opted for the after market assembly.

Sent this to a local auto body shop and they charged me $300. Took a couple days for them to paint it. The quality turned out great, however I wish I left the truck with them cause the hue turned out a little lighter than I wanted. Not a huge deal, but not quite a 100% match.

In regards to the bumper caps, I had a buddy wrap it in vinyl. It was tedious, but looks super nice in person.

    Hey, beautiful truck!

I think this is my second favourite color, cement being #1.

The 702 in bronze looks awesome in both truck colors btw.

I saw in your IG that you have a family of 6.

Do you all travel all together in the truck? if so, how has that workout so far?

    TIA

Awesome build! Look forward to see what you do in the future. How do you like your AccuTune Fox DSC shocks? I am getting ready to pull the trigger on the same shocks from them and was curious on how they were working for you.

Thank you. I appreciate the feedback.

I have no regrets with bronze. I was never a fan of black wheels so I’ve always run bronze on my trucks.

Yeah we have 2 teenagers and 2 littles. While not all belted in, they can comfortably sit in the back seat. Good thing my kids are small lol

I’m glad I splurged on this setup.

I bought back my Tacoma a few days ago. That truck is on kings and when I drive it, it feels so firm and not as smooth. The Fox is dialed in for fast driving and quick G-outs so now I can definitely recommend it over non-adjustable kings.

I would guess April after talking to them. I ordered one as well (before I even knew about this forum). I work in the same building as them. Super nice folks. I think their popularity kind of exploded, they moved recently into the space, and I can’t be more excited, even with the long lead.

True story; I had no interest in a truck, I wanted a van. Saw what they were doing, and within about 2 weeks of seeing their new builds leave the shop, I completely changed gears and bought a ‘21 TRD Pro.

Without a doubt this looks like best possible canopy / tent for what I’m looking for. And as an engineer, I really appreciate the engineering that went into the setup.

Thanks for the feedback. Pretty good driveway status there. You got the best of both worlds.

That’s a cool story. I too, considered the vanlife (sprinter) but decided to stay with Toyota for its dependability and resale value. Having owned a GFC, I appreciate the fine details that Spencer and Pete put into this camper.

Bet your setup will be great too!

So there has to be a good story about this! What are your plans with the Taco now that you have it back?
