I recently was able to get a 2021 CrewMax to replace a 2017 I lost in a wreck. I kept mostly everything from my old one. I installed the bedrails on the new truck and couldn't wait to get my Tyger tri-fold soft cover on there. When I was on my back in the bed tightening the brackets, I noticed a lot of light coming in from the back (cab side).

Climbed out, and sure enough, the main weather strip portion was not on the bed cap on the back. I am like how could this be?!? The cab side bed cap is only like an inch wide, I could have sworn it was bigger before. I line up the main weather strip directly on top of the bed cap and it's fine, however, now the back of the cover is practically touching the cab, like a centimeter of space b/t it.

On the tailgate side, it obviously doesn't go as far back as it did, but it still creates somewhat of a seal. However, driving around in heavy rain, I was getting water in from the sides of the tailgate. This has never happened before, only drips from the back side, never a lot.

I know this thread is worthless without pics, I will get them soon, just wondering if anyone else has come across this with a 2021 (or 2020, 2019(?)) If it's only the 2021, then I don't see any of these manufacturer's changing course for one year, they'll keep saying 2014+, 3rd gen or include 2021 in the date range.

Here are the photos. Slight exaggeration that it's that close the cab, but it's still pretty close. Point is, I used to take this off and put this back on my 2017 every other week, I could do it with my eyes closed. I was shocked to have this one inch space on the back to perfectly lay the weather strip across. It is quite the task now to line it up. It goes to almost more than middle of the top of the tail gate. I could even it out in the back, the weather strip will almost be laying on the bed rail and there is light coming thru, and it would probably cover the entire tail gate then.

interesting. I have the same cover. Didn't think that anything had been changed on the Tundra. Hmm...?
