So when I purchased my truck from the dealership, It rode perfect absolutely like a dream. So far I've installed front spacers (1.75in), 270/70/18 tires, airbags in the rear. Before I had those airbags installed I was running sumo spring bump stops in the rear. Reason being, I load my truck a lot and I needed something temporary to help with squat. When I had those bump stops installed, on certain roads, whatever the speed, the bed bounces like crazy causing the whole truck to shudder making the ride pretty uncomfortable. Once I got those airbags installed, I thought the ride would be better, but it hasn't changed. I also drive my 18 Silverado on those exact same roads with little to no bed bounce. Any advice out there to help reduce bed bounce would be greatly appreciated.

So all you did with the airbags is put lipstick on a pig. Stock Toyota suspension sucks! An usually completely wears out by around 30-50000 miles if you use your truck like a truck.

I would suggest you figure out what you carry on a regular basis and buy new suspension that is made to handle that weight. My dbl cab has stock suspension also and does not have bed bounce. However it rides like crap with a lot of weight in it. New suspension (IronMan 4x4) will be my next mod, probably next year, and I'm at 6600 miles now. YMMV

Unloaded in when I have the issue. I keep the airbags at the minimum 5psi.

Thanks for the advice! I didn't realize the stock suspension was was bad, I thought it'd hold up longer then you stated.

Unfortunately it’s a tundra text prevention feature that comes with the truck. Or spill your coffee feature. I even tried adding 500lbs of fireplace stone when I was remodeling my fireplace and the weight made no difference. I ended up trading the 2019 crew max in for a sequoia and can’t believe what a difference between the two.

Well it has not on any other Toyota body on frame vehicle I have owned but I may be too critical. It all just starts to feel wallowed out and harsh. That's when I replace it. All manufacturers skimp in areas and I have always felt Toyota suspensions suck. TRD, regular, whatever, it will need replaced well before 60K unless you like that kind of ride.

In my opinion ya. The very first time I loaded the bed up, it was probably around 6-800LBS the truck squated pretty good which surprised me since that exact load barley made a dent in the silverado.

    OK.

Did the squat impact the drive?

Is this what drove you to mod the truck?

How many times do you load the truck to squat like this?

And.....are the mods worth the daily drive comfort? It seems not.

You mod the truck to haul heavy loads and wonder as it rides like an empty buck board on the road.

You can't have it both ways.
