    Great video!

I took a two week advanced course in Production, Quality, and Manufacturing a few years ago as part of my job. We basically did a deep dive into Toyota's approach to quality and manufacturing.

    It's not a system or philosophy - it's a deeply ingrained culture.

    Indeed.

If you research Mike Rother's work he has this translated very well. I've followed Mike's work for many years and I think he has done the best of any one of legions of people trying to decode what Toyota does. There are tons of youtube content on this.

I work in O&G now. I've been trying to implement Toyota's approach to managing business and man it is a huge difference in culture.

The strange, quirky, and sometimes counterintuitive, things they do, and what you see, are a result of the culture of continually trying to achieve a target condition. They have a much higher standard of discipline than most companies too.
