I have White (040) Tundra TRD Offroad Premium. I like the look of a TRD Sport with no chrome and white bumpers/grille, so I was searching around what can be done to bring the appearance more to like Sport.
Bumpershillz is one option, but they are relatively expensive. Luckily the Premium came with rear bumper ends painted to the truck color, so its just the front I need to deal about.

How well does PlastiDip hold to Chrome bumper ends?
Did anyone PlastiDip the front bumper ends in White color? How does it match to Toyota White body color (paint code 040)?
    Are there any pictures?

I did my bumpers in black (I know you asked about white) so my post is a general reply regarding adhesion and quality. I used a product called Protect-Dip...I think its a canadian tire knockoff to plasti-dip. I followed the instruction and it worked as advertised. I did 6 coats of black and 3 coats of "clear". I am now a year into it and I will be redoing it in the spring.

The Good: cheap, very easy to apply, protects the chrome in case I want chrome later on

The Bad: I used a detailing product that lifted the coating in a couple of spots along the edge, Krown rustproofing totally lifted it everywhere and now looks like crap, dirt sticks to it, it never gets clean, after about 6 months I had corners lifting and chrome peaking through.

It is what it is, dont expect anything magical. I will eventually be having the bumper corners linex'd, but in the meantime a once a year plasti-dip will suit me fine.

On my other car I have vinyl wrap of chrome bar on the grille and it been holding well for 4 years now.
I was wondering how well PlastiDip holds and how well does it match the White color?

plastidip is cheap, buy a can and spray it on something to compare the color to your truck. Plastidip is basically a temporary finish, it will last ok a year or two but do not expect too much from a low cost spray can finish.
