Failed parking assist

Just purchased a 2018 tundra limited. Power washed the cargo box and now the parking assist has failed. The sensors did get wet but not direct pressure from the wand. Any one have this repaired?

 

Wait for it to dry and re-evaluate...90% of time it just needs to dry...

Did you by chance turn the switch off? It’s common when doing an interior clean.

 

parking assist is still not working. It is not a thing I really need but my fiancé may use it to park the truck in town. I just bought this truck so the fact that one thing is failing is a bummer.

 

Did you check your fuses?

 

Toss it in some rice! In all seriousness, I've washed my truck a million times and have never had this issue. Both my front and rear sensors are relatively exposed (running SS Built bumpers that position the sensors in the open essentially). Sounds like another issue is present. I'd check a fuse, or maybe you bumped the parking sensor button, both mentioned above.

 

Total malfunction. I can turn it on and it displays the sensors location with an X inside a circle. Does not pick up anything in front of the sensors. I will look for the fuse.

 

Run your VIN# on toyotas ownership and see if the recall was done for the sensor.

Dealer replace the bad senor mid left on the rear bumper. they had to take the bumper off to get the job done.
