Mine doesn't let rain in (or didn't before the seal on the door started to let go) but does let water from a pressure wash in. That's water tight enough for me.

Any photo's or info on making my window fold down or eliminate with a gasket between cab and topper like the old days?

Which canopy do you have? I ordered my Leer with a removable front window, though you couldn't leave it out.

Same here, and that's only because I get some underside/low angles with my pressure washer that wouldn't happen naturally from just rain.

Century Ultra Sport. Headliner, two LED lights and keyless entry. I installed 54” Yakima tracks myself and added my Skyline towers and Skybox (obviously not pictured) from my previous Tacoma. Going to upgrade to full length Prinsu cab & top rack combo shortly.

I have a century ultra sport on order. Can’t wait. Have the track getting installed at the factory. Don’t know what kind of rack system I want yet though. You know how much weight you can hold on top of the century cap?

According to the Century website it list 150lbs as the max weight but it seems like that due to the Thule rack load limit and not necessarily the cap limit. I’d check with them directly if you’re planning on adding more than 150lbs.

Thanks. I doubt I'll ever put much weight up there. Interesting in an awning someday. That would probably be the most useful thing for my lifestyle. Especially something like the rhino rack batwing.

An awning is a nice addition. Ours doesn't get used a whole lot but it's there if we want shade, or a little protection from a light rain. We're thinking about getting the enclosure/room for it also.

Man, I love the way camper shells look. I just move large stuff too often. I also like the security of a locking cover. I keep a lot of tools and equipment back there

Yeah, they certainly don't work for everyone. I have a desk job and have to haul an occasional bag of marshmallows.

    It's great for camping though.

I have to haul my bicycle to various venues around town and the occasional stick of bamboo for the neighbor as well.
The tonneau cover comes in handy for those Home Depot/Lowe's runs, too.

It really all comes down to your own needs and whether it is worth the trade offs or not.

I work all over the country and would likely be better served with a Van but I have had both often and am just happier driving a Tundra than anything else and it is only a problem very occasionally and I can rent an open bed truck pretty cheap anywhere that I need one.

    At home I have both.

Most of the consumer grade caps, like the one I quoted, have windows. Smash and grabs are a big thing in California cities. 1,000 cars in a parking lot and no one even looks twice when they hear a window smashed. Gone in 10 seconds, its crazy. On any given day I have a couple thousand dollars in tools in the back. Not a lot of stuff, just the essentials to troubleshoot and make quick repairs to electrical systems on the fly. Plus some nice recovery gear and my Vair

I also had a van for a couple of years. I thought it was going to be the best thing ever but the noise of all the equipment rattling around in the back drove me crazy. I'll never do that again

This was my full quote, note that I nixed the aero bars. Yah they were actually 459.00.
