    Hey everyone.

I found a set of lightly used rear Timbrens at the junk yard the other day off a Chevy Silverado first gen (99-06). The rubber bellows have 535 printed on them which seem to have a 6k weight rating but unfortunately, the mounts are very specific for that Chevy. For 10$ a pop, I grabbed both and figured I would be able to either have a welder fabricate the Tundra mounts or just buy the TORTUN4 mounts new from Timbren for less than the 225$ price tag you see for full sets on online retailers. That said, I still have a few questions:

    1) I couldn't find anyone who sold just the mounts (new or used), and so I was wondering if anyone has gotten mounts by say contacting Timbren directly and special ordering?

    2) If I can't purchase just the mounts, would someone be willing to measure the total height of the mount so whatever I have fabricated will sit where Timbren designed? I think the other measurements (length, width, etc) will be easy to guesstimate.

    4) Can someone provide what number the bellows have from the TORTUN4 kit?

    3) I was thinking, I wonder if the path of least resistance would be to just drill a hole and mount the rubber upside down where the bump stop normally makes contact. I know other trucks are set up in that fashion but typically they will make contact with the axle, not the leaf spring like the Tundra. Not sure if anyone has any thoughts on that.

    Thanks!

Appreciate the reply but I don't know how it answers any of my questions.
