Clock extra digits

Anyone seen this before? Figure I have 3 options:

1. try to re-solder connections to relays on circuit board (anyone done this before with success?)

2. Buy a replacement clock (anyone know where?)

3. find a wire to snip to just turn the thing off (aftermarket radio has a clock already)

I vote #3.
There was a thread on that clock a few days ago.
But he was missing digits...

 

If the digits change, I'd leave it and tell everybody it's Predator time, or something.

Junkyard may be an option if you live in the right area. otherwise Option 3, just sacrifice it, seems doable. who needs that old fashioned display anyways.

Find that other thread and PM each other about trading digits/digit pieces until y'all are both satisfied with your clocks.

I've repaired issues like this by reheating the solder joints, super easy. The other option would be to just unplug it rather than snipping a wire.

Well gents I opened ‘er up and wasn’t really sure where to reheat with the soldering iron so I just went to town in this general area behind the LED clock, low and behold it’s fixed! She keeps time like a champ Hope this helps someone else.

I was going to suggest just learn how to read it but I ain’t as handy as you.

 

Similar issue on 2004 corolla. Resoldering fixed it for a while, then it went blank again.
