Took delivery of a new Crewmax Platinum MGM a few days ago and have had a perma-grin since!

I have had several Toyota vehicles through the years. The first was a 89 SR5, which was written off in an accident and replaced with a 77 FJ40. I miss the Cruiser the most, no doubt

Since then I've had a couple Tacomas, the first was an 11, then most recently a 17. Sold the 17 to fund the new Tundra. Had a trouble free 100k on the most recent Tacoma but we grew out of it, needed some more room and more pulling power for when we rent a RV in the summer

Couple mods off the bat on the Tundra, put the wireless console charger, driver side grab handle, some dedicated winter tires on the 20" wheels and a set of tuxmat floor mats in so far

Next will be the installation of the Falcon tow/haul kit sitting in my garage as well as some 18" wheels and tires for the months where the winter tires will be shelved. Colour matched handles and mirror caps are on the list and I have a Leer canopy on order as well to round it all out

Lots of great information on this site (and ways to spend cash, too!) Looking forward to contributing what I can!

Welcome from the wet side of WA. Your range is in km - you north of the 49th parallel, eh? I grew up a stone's throw from Creston, BC.

I can honestly say I think I'd give my left nut for a 77 FJ40. My kids are grown...I don't need them anyway...

    Thanks for all the welcomes!

Yup, nailed it! I'm on the other side of the rockies but have spent lots of time in BC. Beautiful country out that way

Haha, I hear ya, they are hard to come by these days for a reasonable price

Nice. Mine had a tired old 2F, and no power anything. It would still start every morning in the dead of winter though, me running back and forth in the cold to adjust the choke as it warmed up lol

Never been! I had to google that, looks like a good spot. The 49º North is because I hail from Canada...49th parallel

Yeah, Mayfield is good and part of a smaller ownership group which can have it's advantages. I've had service done there over the years and have had good experiences there. I ended up buying my second one from Gateway which as far as I know is independently owned and seems pretty well run. I had a tough go w a particular individual on this sale when it came time to pickup the truck but some others folks made it right and overall I had a good experience.

Customer service makes all the difference, especially in today's world of instant feedback. That's the reason I shopped at Mayfield the first time. I'm up in Fort Mac and would rather make the drive to get decent service than get the run around up here at our local dealer. It was good enough I made the trip the second time around.

Thanks! The fit and finish of the Tuxmats are great, especially once all of the provided clips are tucked in to hold it flush with the plastic molding. The coverage is better than the competition IMO as well, they extend all the way past the dead pedal and all the way to the center console and carpet interface. The material topside is like vinyl and the bottom side is a nice automotive style carpet

The only potential issue I see might be water leakage where the mat meets the door jamb plastics and it's held with the clips. There is no overlap, so I guess I'll see in the spring when I give the mats a good cleaning whether there was any water passing by onto the carpet.
