@Hugemoose Just be sure you ziptie the back of the lights to the truck nice & tight, otherwise they'll wiggle around in the OEM bracket. You'll see what I mean once you get them installed. Happened to me & most folks. I don't remember if this thread mentioned it or not. It's the only downside to the SS3, but no biggie to me.

I mean the Max are probably fantastic, but the price tag is pretty serious! I'm sure the Pros will treat me just fine. An up here in the NE, I'll be happy to have the yellow for those foggy and snowy days.

Just going from a crappy LED bulb in a projector housing, to a quality HID has been a giant improvement. I can't wait to put these in.

I also ordered the pros this morning. Honestly, I was going to order the Max’s, but when I went to check out, Diode Dynamics wanted over $20 for shipping. I couldn’t bring myself to spend the extra $20 shipping on lights that cost $440 after the 15% off! I think I’ll be happy with the pros.

Yeah even with the discount, the Max's are expensive!! I'm sure it's worth it for off-roading in pitch black, but not for most folks on the road.

There is a center on tacoma world that has free shipping on top of the 15% off.

I ordered the max from lightwerks, I thought that DD had the housing fix so we don’t have to zip tie ?

Nope. I talked to them over the phone last week when exchanging my Pro's for Max', and was sure to mention to them the issue with the bracket and having to use zip ties. They said they were aware of it, but didn't say if they plan on doing anything about it. It's a long process, is pretty much all they said.

The housing vibrating has nothing to do with the fog light. The fog light mounts to the entire housing. It’s the housing that vibrates, not the light. DD didn’t redesign the entire housing.

This is the real issue unfortunately. Don’t hold out on Toyota doing anything, even the pro rigids are loose.

I got my DD pros from lightwerkz last year.
There is also a member/vendor from tacoma world - hotshot offroad that I ordered the DD sports from for my wife's pathfinder this year

Well, small update for all of you jerks that made me buy the Pros. I got them installed this afternoon, and even in broad daylight they are noticably brighter. I previously had some crap Amazon or eBay special LEDs in the stock reflector housing. I could barely tell when they were turned on and my HIDs overpowered them ten fold.

So far I'm very happy with these. I still might need to adjust them come nightfall, but for now I think I actually got it pretty close when I closed my garage door. And I did run some zip ties up through the unused bolt hole and an opening further up in the bumper brackets. They are held nice and tight now.

    Yes, to an extent.
DD uses 4000 Kelvin LEDs in the amber/yellow and 6000k LEDs in white lights.
You can swap a white lens onto an original selective yellow but putting an amber lens on a light with 6000k LEDs will give a green looking light

Yes. I swapped the clear lens on my selective yellow pros. But the 4000k leds didn’t match the 6000k factory leds. So I just didn’t like the look. And you only lose like 3% output with the yellow lens. So it wasn’t worth it. I noticed no difference what so ever on output to my naked eye.

Anyone interested in some clear lenses, I’ve got some I can sell. Brand new.

I just purchased white this time so don’t need the extra lenses.

Comparing BD to DD...BD are brighter...but brighter everywhere and supposed to be. My DD Pros are a slightly more yellow and focused beam but 100% better for SAE certs...I think I'll dig the swap... the BDs are going in the wife's 4runner now.

Driver's side is BD, Passenger's side is DD in the photos...

that was the issue with Baja releasing their lights as SAE certified. They only did in house testing. The lights had far too much light bleed and falsely marketed the light as SAE j583 (fog pattern) certified. After testing was done, they were clearly out of compliance. For raw output, the Baja’s are great. They just aren’t “road legal”.

True statements but my BDs weren't ever SAE compliant as I knew they weren't ready so I opted for the "regular" pros...they're incredible on the mountain highways but that's what I have the NSV bar for too...these DD will do well for what they are as now I don't need to toggle on/off when traffic enters my view corridor...

I have a naïve question...when folks purchase their DD fogs, they come in a package that just normally says Stage Series, right? Regardless of if they chose Pro or Stage Series, or Max for that matter, right? My box has no distinction that I received my Pros I paid for...just perhaps a packaging savings venture by DD or did I pay for something I didn't get?
