    Hi folks,
I'm selling my F250 and have narrowed the replacement down to either a 1st gen silverado/sierra or a 1st gen tundra. I really love the design of the Silver/sierra but the tundra charms me with it's reliability. I'm specifically looking at the 05-06 years of the tundra for the updated transmission. What scares me is the frame rust issues. Anyone have any pointers?

    Welcome fro TX!
Inspect thoroughly for frame rust; especially if shopping in salted winter roads states. If possible shop for in southern states, less likely to have those issues.

Welcome! Have a local trusted repair shop inspect the frame. What Toyota dealers considers an issue and what would concern most people can be two very different things.

What part of the country are you in? If you're in a non road salt area don't worry about it, but do inspect any potential truck for anything other than surface rust before buying. If you're in a place where they put car cancer on the roads every year, do the same inspection and check to make sure the truck had it's frame replaced by Toyota.
